After reinstalling ESXi to 7.0, and a bunch of patching, including the recall of U3, I'm left with a hodgepodge of VMTools centralized locations with both:
UserVars.ProductLockerLocation /VMTools
UserVars.ProductLockerLocation /locker/packages/vmtoolsRepo/
as well as my preferred, configured location /vmfs/volumes/datastorename/VMTools
Did the default locations change? If so, when? I want to make sure I understand what happened and when I would need to run the script to change them again.
Also, once I reset the location using a shared datastore and this script, Configuring a VMware Tools Repository leveraging PowerCLI (6.7U1 and newer) - vJAL.nl do I still have to update the symlink location as in here ESXi VMware Tools Update Guide - Virtualization Howto. ?
