VMCA installed on VCSA in linked mode

Hello,

I setup VMCA on our test vCenter appliance to issue certificates as a subordinate of our root domain CA and all went well but my main question is our production environment is 2 vCenter appliances in linked mode running 7.0.2.  Do I need to setup both vCenters in this way or just one?  Would the one vCenter configured as the domain subordinate be able to issue certificates to the other vCenter and the hosts it manages or do I need to setup the second vCenter in this way as well?

Thanks,

Keith

Hi,

In vcenter embedded linked mode setups, each vcenter server will have its own vmca which issues the certificates. So VMCA as subordinate CA should be setup on both vcenter servers appliances.
