VM Snapshot - Transfer

Backup appliance takes the snapshot for the VM and that snapshot data transfer to the backup appliance through ESXi management network.

Is there a way, where we can implement a L2 layer for transferring data from ESXi to backup appliance, not disturbing the management network of ESXi ?

It also depends on how the Backup Server is configured.

Usually all backup servers, connnect to the vCenter and then does the NFC through management IP. But if the backup servers, connect directly to the ESXi server, you can have a vmkernel created on a different subnet and make backup communicate on a different subnet.

Here backup appliance is directly connected to vCenter (6.7). Do we have any method to segregate the backup traffic with other management traffic ?

I could see that there is a option in vCenter 7.0
