VCloud director 5.1.1 and vcenter 5.5

In the compatibility matrix they say those are not compatable!

But I successfully upgrade my vcenter from 5.1 to 5.5 and it's nicely connected in vcloud?

Is this reliable ??

The VMware interoperability matrixes shows what is supported, but some solutions may works even if this is not listed on matrixes, but remember that if you get a problem, VMware may will not help you until you place your entire environment in a full supported configuration.

I strictly recommend you upgrade your vCloud Director, for two reasons:

1. your upgrade sequence is totally wrong, based on KB article 2057795, you should first upgrade the vCD before upgrade the vCenter;

2. keep your environment in a full supported configuration to avoid problems.
