VCenter 5.5 web client not showing licence keys.

Hi,

I have a strange problem with exsi 5.5 and vcenter.

The vsphere client application is showing me the licences that are installed and assigned to the hosts and vcenter ( see image1)

As can be seen there is no licence keys in this web client.

I have tried to add a licence but it just  sits there saying processing, at one stage i left for over a couple of hours and no change.

Does any one have a solution to this?

Or do I have to uninstall everything, blow away the sql db and start from scratch as a clean install?

Thanks

George

Have you checked all the services are running on the vCenter server?

If one of them related to licensing is goosed it might be it.

Hi George,

What build vCenter are you running? Can you verify that the Inventory service is started? If it is can you try restarting it and logging back into your web client?

Hi,

Yes, I have restarted the inventory service several times but no luck.

I get the version number and post it.

I have also checked all services and they are running even restarted them but still no luck.

But I will re-validate them.

Thanks

George
