VCSA.. it just gets better

Inexplicably VMware has gone from the easy deploy from OVF template to the client integration plug-in in v6

The CIP installs just fine on win2008r2... but don't you dare try to deploy the VCSA from it because, well aparently 2008r2 is NOT windows. ROTFLMAO!

But it's web-based.  It shouldn't matter what browser.. right?

It's always tricky with the client integration plug-in. Many times it tells me it's not installed even when it is installed. IE is the last thing I use in my environment.

All I gotta say is what a bunch of crap this CIP is vs just using an OVF.

I tried Firefox on win2008r2 and that wouldn't detect the CIP.

So I went to a Win7 box and could only get as far as trying to connect to an ESXi box and it continuously failed on port 50100 according to the logs.. opened that port on the esxi box.. no luck

grrrr
