VCSA 6.7 Alarm Rules

Hi,

may anyone got same issue?

Example:

Alarm Name = Virtual machine CPU usage

Let's say you want to get Alert for all 3 Conditions

Alarm rule 1 =  above 75% warning
Alarm rule 2 =  above 90% critical
Reset Rule 1 = below 75% ok

It seems once Load jump > 90%   then the Email alert just tells  "Warning"  but with > 90%

i think the Condition check is wrong.     i think it should be

Alarm rule 1 =  > 75%   < 90%  warning

Alarm rule 2 = >90%  critical

Reset Rule 1 = below 75% ok

Anything special with Alerts?

thx

Max

I have it setup as follows and it seems to work ok.

Trigger                    Operator      Warning Condition      Critical Condition
VM CPU Usage      is above      80% for 5 minutes      90% for 5 minutes

Actions                                       Green->Yellow           Yellow->Red
Send a notification email           Once                           Repeat

You dont need to add additional triggers for 75% & 90%
