VCSA 6.0u2 to 6.5 with external PSC

I'm going through the upgrade process but cannot find anywhere that allows me to upgrade the PSC to 6.5.  If I go through the normal upgrade process I can get through stage 1 but at the start of stage 2 it lets me know the psc hasn't been updated yet. Where am I not looking to find out how to update the psc?

From the snap i believe that your are trying to upgrade vCenter node(your are providing ip of management node instead of PSC) without upgrading PSC.

In the  Stage 1 - Deploy the OVA File of the New vCenter Server Appliance With an Embedded Platform Services...

step 5: Appliance FQDN or IP address option , provide ip/fqdn of PSC

which will ensure upgrade of PSC

Stage1 has less pre-checks compare to Stage2.

You didn't loose anything with this. You can stop the Installer at the same place and perform upgrade of PSC. Post upgrade you can continue with vCenter Server Upgrade from where you left.
