Hi guys,
I'm trying to migrate my vCenter appliance from 6.0U2a to 6.5.
I can run the installer but run into a problem with the "Deployment Size". I only have "Medium, Large & X-Large" to choose from as my 6.5 deployment options where my current VCSA 6.0 is deployed as "Tiny".
Is there a way to migrate from a "tiny" VCSA 6.0 to a "tiny" VCSA 6.5 or do I need to start with a fresh install?

Did you changed the VCSA 6.0 hardware resources after the deployment? How many CPU and RAM have your VCSA 6.0 right now?
The installer is showing "Medium, Large & X-Large" options based on the current db size of the ur vCSA 60u2 (installer is automatically identifying the minimum reqd deployment size for successful migration)

so i feel u can't do that, as the destination size will be lesser to accommodate all the source data.
Sorry, but this is a huge problem. I'm being told the same thing and my vCSA 6.0 only has 2 CPU and 8GB of RAM and isn't using a whole lot of space either. I'm managing less than 100 VMs. How do you overwrite this?
Hi guys,
I figured it out. The 6.0-6.5 migration is a 2 step process, the first deploys the appliance, the second migrates the system.
If you just deploy the appliance instead of performing a migration you can size it as you want then you can actually start a migration.

This is just for info
