When you are deploying vca and connect via web browser and the installation starts, you get to the static IP and dns information.  It says to perform those tasks and then relaunch the wizard to complete the installation.  Is there any reason why I cannot go into each area, database, network, sso, active directory and configure them there instead of relaunching the wizard?  To me the wizard may save you a couple of seconds but nothing significant.  I have not found any documents that talk towards this.

Thats because IP and DNS provides the server an identity to the appliance and further when you configure db,sso,ad , the appliance needs to talk to these servers therefore a restart isrequired in the first step to activate the IP and DNS.

I understand that part and thanks for your response.  My question is: Is there anything different done when using the wizard versus going into database, sso and starting the service?
