I've been beating my head against this problem for 2 weeks now, I have a meeting Thursday about it.
I've got a school who has Hyper-V but wants to convert to VMWare. I've tried VMWare Converter and StarWind.
VMWare Converter constantly gives me permission errors, even though I've run it as Admin and I have full local rights on both the server and VM. No idea how to get past that one.
StarWinds will export a .vmdk for me, but whenever I add it as an existing disk to a shell VM and boot it, it never finds the OS.
If anyone has a third program or anything I'm missing, please let me know.
