Have vCenter server installed 5.5u3 on a Windows server. Downloaded the ISO for u3a and u3b and mounted the disc. When the installer launches I get the simple or custom install options. Normally when I do an upgrade to vCenter I use "simple install" and it detects the previous version and runs the upgrade process. Now when I try to select Simple Install it stays vCenter and all components are already installed and won't proceed.
Do I have to do a custom install to upgrade vCenter?
