Upgrading vCenter from 5.5 build 1476327 to 5.5 Update 2b build 2183112?

Can anyone confirm whether it is possible to do an in-place upgrade from vCenter 5.5 build 1476327 to 5.5 Update 2b build 2183112?

I am imagining that this would be easier than building from scratch.

Currently I have vCenter running in a Win2K8 R2 64 bit VM, with data on a separate MS-SQL database server.

Any gotchas I should be aware of?

should be very easy using the simple install

your ODBC connection is already there

make sure you make a backup from your database before you begin.

Simple install actually would not upgrade the existing installation.

I was required to update/install each of the four components individually, but the installation was trivially easy.
