I need some help from all of you.
I have this environment:
2 vCenter Server version 5.0 : Physical and Virtual protecting by vCenter Server Heartbeat 6.4. The Physical is Primary node and virtual is secondary node.
both vCenter using local database for vCenter.
I plan to upgrade both node to vCenter Server 5.1b and vCenter Server Heartbeat 6.5.
I have workplan for that activity:
1. Backup my vCenter Server Database and SSL certificate in both vCenter.
2. Stop vCenter Server Heartbeat service and all protecting application also vCenter server service.
3. Uninstall vCenter Server on both Server.
4. Upgrade primary node to vCenter Server 5.1 using simple install (SSO and vCenter using local database). Reconnect all of managed host before.
5. P2V primary node.
6. Reinstall vCenter Server Heartbeat on both node.
my question is Do the step I make is right and SSO and vCenter Server Databases can protect by vCenter Server Heartbeat ? please your advice.
