Upgrading VCSA 6.0 to 6.5 without VUM installed

I'm trying to upgrade the virtual appliance and Update Manager is not installed.

But I get the message:

"Unable to retrieve the migration assistant extension on source vCenter Server. Make sure migration assistant is running on the VUM server."

Is it not possible to upgrade unless VUM is installed? Do I need to do a fresh install of VCSA 6.5?

Thanks Richardson, I removed the entry per the KB article and now the install moves on.

I remember starting to install VUM a while ago but stopped due to resources in my lab environment. The entry must have been made at that time.

I'm always amazed at all the nooks & crannies in VMWare!

Your prompt response is greatly appreciated &

Happy Holidays!
