Upgrading SQL 2012 to SQL 2019 for VCenter 6.7

We need to upgrade a SQL server that hosts the vmware instance/DBs. The current version is EOL July 12, 2022. We want to go to SQL 2019. Will this 'break' anything in VMware?

If you're lucky someone who already tested it may respond.

Anyway, are you aware of the end of support date in mid October for vSphere 6.7?
Rather than trying to run with unsupported DB in a production environment, and risk anything (in production, or even later with an upgrade/migration to a later vCenter Server version), you should think about upgrading/migrating to vSphere 7.

Thank you. I need to deal with this deadline before the next one 🙂

SQL 2019 is not supported for 6.7 .

vSphere 6.7 will go EOL Oct 2022 ; so better to move to vCSA 7.0 and use embedded Postgres DB.
