Upgrade vCenter 6.7 to 8, certificat error

Hello everyone,

I'm stuck on a migration from vCenter 6.7 to 8.

The installation went well, but phase 2 stalls when checking the certificates.

The vcenter 6.7 certificate does not include the full FQDN (vcenter.vsphere.local), so I get the error "The passed address vcenter.vsphere.local did not match any address in the server certificate ['vcenter']".

If I check the vcenter certificate, I only have 'vcenter' in the dns name and not vcenter.vsphere.local

What solutions do I have that won't require me to reboot my esxi?

Thank you very much.

Made some change on the certificate SSL, from short name to FQDN, same for PNID, migration is underway.

Thx for your reply.

I've founded some kb to change FQDN and PNID.

We'll see tomorrow if it ok.

I am not sure, matrix should be checked, if vcenter from 6.7 upgrade to 8 directly possible.
