Updating VCSA Fails

Trying to update an external VCSA PSC and no matter what approach is used, it fails:

From VAMI:

From SSH:

Seems to get to about 60% and fail each time. This is trying to install the latest updates, from the previous ones. Never been an issue before, only now.

Attach software-packages.log to the thread.

Location: /var/log/vmware/applmgmt

Use winscp to copy the files over.

I've seen this issue before. Run the command "chage -l root" to validate.

If it's an issue with password rest it and retry the upgrade.

Thats the command i ran to get that error above.

Thinking same lines really, reset password and then retry it. However, resetting it seems to need the appliance shutting down in this state and the following link following:

https://www.opvizor.com/vcsa-6-5-reset-root-password

Will have to wait till tomorrow

If you have an existing ssh connection simply run the below command:

# passwd root

If you are unable to establish a ssh connection then use the above article to reset password.
