Hi all, how would i be able to vmotion an VM machine in active state over to another ESX Cluster with physical SCSI controller ?
May I also ask what's the purpose of the physical disk ? Previously I thought physical disk is only for RDM but this does not looks like RDM.
SCSI bus sharing is used in clustering configurations - to allow disk sharing between VMs. Is there an RDM disk attached to this SCSI adapter? Is Windows Failover Clustering installed?

There's no RDM disk but there's WIndows Failover Clustering installed
So maybe you have multiple cluster nodes on the same ESXi host (known as cluster Ina box) where it's possible to use a shared vmdk disk rather than rdm? If you're using a shared vmdk then I don't believe you can do an online vMotion with a shared SCSI adapter as it's not supported with clustering, you'd need to do it offline. With an RDM you can with virtual hardware v11 but requires a guest reboot to upgrade. With any clustering setup it's critical you stay in supported configurations at all times or you can end up with undesirable results.
