Unable to use Snapshots or perform a backup on virtual machines configured with disk Independent/Persistent

Hi team.

Is possible to backup two DB servers that share the same disk (is configured with disk Independent/Persistent) in vmware 6.0.

I use for to backup the Data Protector without problems with vmware server but with these DB Server  I've had backup failures. Is there some special configuration to do this.

Can you help me with this issue.

Only way you could back this data up is with an in-guest agent. Independent disks cannot be snapshot, so a full image backup is not possible.

Could you explain me about  "in-guest agent" . Which one would you recommend.

It means installing a piece of backup software inside the virtual machine that sends them to some central location. There are hundreds of such applications so you'll have to search. Veeam is one option which has such an agent.
