Hello Guys,

i was trying to upgrade VCSA 6.5U1 to VCSA 6.7 but in the second stage i am getting error.

If anyone has faced it please help.

I have checked for the Network Connectivity and DNS resolutions working fine.

Well, the error message says the IP already exists, so are you using a duplicate IP? Have you checked this? Sometimes error messages are actually accurate, you know.

Hi,

I already checked that error and tried using 5-6 different IP's but still error coming that's why i have posted it here. Also tried by changing the vCSA 6.7 version but didn't helped.

Please show complete information on your 6.5 vCSA and screenshots taken from all steps of the 6.7 upgrade wizard.

Hi,

Kindly find below screenshots taken from each step:

I face the error in stage 2, at first "While copying data from source vcenter to target vcenter"

It throws error after applying network settings state. I also checked source VCSA was at reached shutdown state. (I tried by manually powering off source vcsa but it didn't helped.)

Do you have multiple forward or reverse DNS records for 192.168.0.210?

Nope.

Only single forward and reverse DNS record is there.

This issue happens because the shutdown for vcsa 6.5 has not released the IP and 6.7 network on the other end starts .. Once you see that the shutdown of vCSA 6.5, then you can take shell and try to bring down eth0 and shutdown (Ensure to have snapshot)

Other easy way is once the shutdown is initiated, try to power off vCSA 6.5 (Ensure to have snapshot)

Thanks,

MS
