Unable to remove DVS switch from host. Ghosted View Replica VM still connected to portgroup

I am trying to remove the DVS switch from a host to prepare it to be re-purposed and rebuilt. When attempting to remove the DVS from the host I get the below error. We are running 6.5 U1.

Any ideas?

The resource '5274' is in use.

vDS vsan-p1b2-netdvs port 5274 is still on host jdc-vsan-p1b2-n04.tellex.org connected to <not-found.> nic=4000 type=vmVnic

Was able to remove the host, by first right clicking and select Disconnect, then Remove from Inventory.

That article does me no good as there are no VMs or VMKernel ports connected to it to remove.

Not sure whather this helps, but maybe worth a try.

KB article https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/2118050 describes how to cleanup stale View objects.

The ViewDbCheck tool did help me a lot in the past. Try running e.g. ViewDbChk --scanMachines --limit 100

I do not have access to the View servers and this host has already been disassociated from anything View from the View administrators perspective.
