Hi,
I am trying to convert a physical machine running Windows XP SP3 into a virtual machine using vCenter Converter and I am having problems. I installed the software as standalone and after I select "Local Machine" for the device to convert I get the message "Unable to obtain hardware information for the selected machine" when I press next. I have read many posts with the same problem and tried what was suggested without success. I am running the converter as administrator, I disabled both my anti-virus and firewall but still cannot get past this message. I am hoping someone here may be able to help me. I have attached the log files created by the software.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
