Unable to logon VMware vCenter Appliance 5.5 with Root

Guys

I am facing typical issue with  VCENTER APPLIANCE 5,5. I can't PuTTY to the BOX.

It just says access denied.

I have followed VM KB# 2069041 however root account is working fine..

I can login to via Web , I can connect to vCenter server using standalone VIC.

Please advice.

Guys

Issue is fixed.

We did two things..

  1. Removed Active Directory Identity Sources under Single Sign-on configuration.
  2. Reset embedded SSO configuration.

After doing this we can get in to Appliance via SSH.

Not sure what is relation but this has helped me and thought of posting our solution.

Have you enabled SSH in VCSA?

From vSphre 5.5 Documentation:

Enable or Disable SSH Administrator Login on the VMware vCenter Server Appliance

You can enable or disable the ability to log in to the VMware vCenter Server Appliance using SSH.

What do you mean by reset embedded SSO configuration. How did you do that?
