Unable to login to vCenter using root account on vCenter Server Applicance 6.5

Hello.

Im having trouble loging in to the vcsa 6.5 using the root account and its credentials.

To remedy the issue, i tried changing the root password, at the shell, but it didnt work.

Then i tried adding a new user and attempted to login using that new user. Nada.

What is the problem and hw can it be fixed?

root does not have permissions to vCenter the application, only the appliance directly. Are you trying to use SSH/direct console access, or something else?

were you able to access root account using ssh/shell?

Have you tried sso administrator credentials when login to vcsa?

can you login with root on the vami page https://<vcenter ip>:5480
