Hi All,
Is it possible to have two vCenter environment, vCenter 5.1 and vCenter 5.5 and each vcenter has two esxi hosts vCenter 5.1 has 5.1 esxi host and vCenter 5.5 has esxi hosts.
All four hosts accessing same shared storage (SAN).
Hosts from different vCenter accessing shared storage will corrupt VMs on storage?
Thank you...
You can basically access a datastore from multiple hosts, running different versions. However, in case these hosts aren't managed by the same vCenter Server, it's your responsibility to ensure that the hosts will not access the same VMs (folders) and that supported maximums are not exceeded, e.g. simultaneous Storage vMotion tasks for a datastore, ...
Also keep in mind that features like Storage I/O Control may not work as expected.
