Trying to update PSC 6.5 and keeps failing

I currently have PSC 6.5.0.12000 and try to update thru the repository to 6.5U2c but no matter if I try to update thru the gui or the cli it keeps failing at Package Update Failed.  Rebooted the PSC numerous times and still keeps failing.  Downloaded the iso from VMware and tried updating and still failed.  How do I go about troubleshooting?  Thanks!

Even though it never said it anywhere I found out that the root password was expired.  Reset the password and now the update worked.  Thanks for everyone's help!

You'll need to check the log file at  /storage/log/vmware/applmgmt/software-packages.log

Can you check if you have enough free space available and have a look in /var/log/vmware/applmgmt/software-packages.log which logs a temp file location where you can follow the steps during the upgrade. And in what state is the appliance manager? You can login via https://appliance-IP-address-or-FQDN:5480.

I have looked in software-packages.log and the file it references update-errMZ_rW1 is nowhere to be found.  No update files at all.
