This Client Integration Plugin...

I am using vCenter 6.0.0

Click "Deploy OVF Template" -->Download the Plugin

Screen Shot 2017-08-23 at 16.32.41.png

I downloaded and installed the plugin on MAC (10.11.6) , & no matter which browser: Chrome or FF always comes back to this screen (endless loop)

Did the same on Windows 7

Did the same on Windows 10

It just doesn't work at all as far as I can tell.

Is there an alternate way to deploy on OVF? It's already sitting on local ESX Datastore.  (it's actually the VMware NSX distribution)

Of course ESX will not let you install from URL since vCenter is running things, tried that.

Thanks in advance.

Is the client integration plugin detected in the browser. you can verify by going to the https://<vcenter fqdn> and click on webclient. If on the bottom bar, if you can see to download the client integration plugin then it confirms that the CIP is not detecting on the machine.

new browsers have NPAPI disabled and new security features recently changed settings leading to this problem.

You can try the steps in the below KB

Client Integration plugin is not recognized as installed after upgrading the browser in vCloud Direc...

Thanks,

1. On the required browser, clear the cache/cookies

2. In Chrome / IE 11 add the https://vcenter_FQDN:9443 (Web Client URL) in the trusted site list.

3. Refresh the browser and open web client again.
