which is responsible for the VMDK section dev / sda3? I VMDK1 increased to 30 GB, but I still get this:

/dev/sda isn't a LVM partition. You must extend this volume with tool for linux.
I recommend you to take a backup before this action.

I had this same issue today and was able to resolve it by following the steps found in the KB at vCenter Appliance root Partition 100% full due to Audit.log files not being rotated (2149278) | VMwa... -- after following the steps and rebooting the VCSA, my /dev/sda3 mount went from 11GB (full) to 3.4GB.
