The concept of "site" existed in VCSA 6.5 but it's gone in 6.7?

Hi everyone,

I'm puzzled -- The concept of "site" existed in VCSA 6.5 but it's gone in 6.7?

I just completed a 6.7.0 VCSA install and nowhere did it ask for a site, however I still have my old guide on 6.5 and clearly site is an entity required during the install.

Could someone clarify the significant of "site" and whether it is really gone in 6.7 yet it existed up to 6.5? As a secondary observation I noticed that 6.7 did NOT ask which network adapter the newly created VM will be bound to. I remember from 6.5 that the installer presented a list box with all of the available networks on the hypervisor where VCSA was about to be installed and one could pick from the list.

Thank you

Yes, the concept of SSO sites has been removed in 6.7 which allows for a little bit better flexibility. This can be confirmed in the What's New whitepaper here and the introductory blog post here.
