I have configured the office365 SMTP for email notifications, but its not working is there anyway i can test these setting from the Vcenter itself

If you want to test the communication from vCenter to Office365 SMTP, you can try to use the curl command from the vCenter Virtual Appliance Command line.Some examples here:

Does the sending account need a office 365 license/mailbox to send?
