In preparation for upgrade activity to take our on-prem vSphere implementations vCSA from 6.7 to v7u1, I've come across a caveat in the Best Practices guide that states:
When upgrading vCenter Server Appliance from 6.7 U2c or 6.7 U3 to vCenter Server 7.0, you must disable TCP Offload per adapter: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/74678.
Its a bit confusing, as this reads that the 'workaround' listed in the KB has been "mitigated since update 3a"; however, also states that this 'workaround' must be applied when upgrading from 6.7u3 to v7.
My questions is as follows:
Is the above intended to state that only 6.7u3 (prior to releases 6.7u3a, 6.7u3b, ..., 6.7u3n) require the workaround—or that *all* 6.7u3 releases- INCLUDING the alpha, bravo, ... november, et cetera releases will require TCP Offload to be disabled before applying the upgrade steps for v7.
Thank you.
