Syslog Collector / Dump Collector in 6.5

In 5.5 we had both the Syslog Collector and Dump Collector installer.  In 6.5 we don't have that any longer.  It appears that you can configure your VCSA, PSC, and ESX Hosts to use a syslog collector for logs and a shared diagnostic partition for dumps.  But there's no installer to setup a collector is that correct?  Is VMware trying to encourage buying Log Insight to collect the logs?

Thanks

Pete

VCSA or vCenter 6.5 does have the dump collector. Please find the below documentation and I believe they are disabled by default.

VMware vSphere 6.5 Documentation Library

Please could you provide a link to the specific documentation for the Syslog Collector in the vCenter Server Appliance? The link you provided is just the documentation homepage. I have not seen anything about the Syslog Collector on the Appliance in 6.5. I suspect this feature has been removed, but I'd ba happy to be proven wrong 🙂
