Storage DRS create big VM

Hi all.

I have one question.

In one Storage cluster we have 8 storage with 4 TB each, free space  about 1,5 TB for each. Need create VM with 2.5 TB disk how to create this VM without turn off SDRS ?

SDRS can't assist here. You need to migrate some VMs to another datastore in cluster and expand a disk then.

Hi!

What is your automation setting on a SDRS cluster? is it manual or fully automated?

If it's fully automated than SDRS will move some VMs to place your big VM automatically.

If it's manual than you need svmotion VMs manully to free space for your big VM.

I did not correctly indicate the conditions, if the VM is created from template and then we expand the disk to the required volume, an error occurs:disk_vm.JPG

if you create an empty VM, then there is no such error.
