I would like to update to vcenter 6 update 2 from vcenter standard update 1b.
For updating the vcenter do I need to download the full iso or can I just apply http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2138599.
The release notes (http://pubs.vmware.com/Release_Notes/en/vsphere/60/vsphere-vcenter-server-60u2-release-notes.html#pa...) for update 2 say that this release of vCenter Server 6.0 Update 2 delivers the following patches. See the VMware Patch Download Center for more information on downloading patches.
•VMware-VIMPatch-6.0.0-3460911-20160301.iso
•VMware-vCenter-Server-Appliance-6.0.0.20000-3634791-patch-TP.iso
•VMware-vCenter-Server-Appliance-6.0.0.20000-3634791-patch-FP.iso
Clicking on "VMware-VIMPatch-6.0.0-3460911-20160301.iso" takes me to Security patch for VMware vCenter Server 6.0 Update 2 (2138599) | VMware KB
So I am wondering if I apply just apply this hotfix will it be a faster way of doing it instead of going through the full iso install?
And is this supported way of doing the upgrade?
