Hi all,
I was migrating my vswitch to dvswitch. All went fine. After migrating vmnetwork we still have some machine which are still showing under the old vswitch(As the vms have the snapshots when the old vswitch was being used. )
Now i have to nuke all the old vswitch from our environment but without removing those snapshot its not possible. But we cant delete the snapshot. Any idea how to change the nic config in the vm without deleting the snapshots ?
Thanks.
This is a developers environment. They have multiple configurations in there snapshots which they used time to time.
I am afraid if it can broke the snapshot chain. and make the all configuration changed. Any ways i found out an idea to modify the configuration of the nic in snapshots.
Will share with the blog today. Hope you will like it.

why is this not possible? I just tested it and was able to delete a vSwitch with Portgroups, that were used in VM snapshots without any problems. I used the Web Client.
