Should we set up vCenter VM from scratch or P2V of existing physical server ?

Hi,

We are running vSphere 5.5 update 3a.

There is a consultant suggesting us not to use a physical machine for running vCenter Server.  He opines that the best practice is to use VM.   He also suggests us to perform a P2V of the existing vCenter Server (Running on a physical box) to a VM.

1) Just would like to seek your advice whether it would be better for us to set up a vCenter Server on VM from scratch ?

2) Is there anything we need to focus on if we perform a P2V ?

3) Is it really better to run vCenter on a VM instead of physical server ?

Thanks

It appears that most fellow suggest building the VM from scratch instead of performing a P2V of existing vCenter Server.
