Sharing Datastores across vCenters

Hi,

I have two parallel clusters.  One in vSphere 4.1 and the other in 5.5.  I need to migrate all the VMs from 4.1 to 5.5.  Can I share the LUNs in 4.1 cluster with the cluster in 5.5 cluster so when it comes to migration (Can I have storage team to zone the hosts in 5.5 cluster to see the same LUNs as the hosts in 4.1 cluster), In this case I  can simply unregister the VM fron 4.1 environment and register them in 5.5 environment?

Would this configuration cause datastore corruption because two separate vcenters accessing same datastore?

Welcome to the Community - There is no issue in sharing a VMFS data store as long it is remains VMFS3 - so the vSphere ESXi hosts can read the data store - there should be no issue with corruption as each ESXi hosts locks the file preventing another host from accessing it -
