I was wondering if it was possible to create an alarm definition that would only act on say entering maint. mode and send an email on that action, but not have to set/trigger any alarm.
Essentially:
IF
Entered maintenancemode
THEN
Trigger the alarm and keep the targets current state
Send email notifications = enabled
Subject : Alarm...
Email to : myemailaddress
As it stands I cannot receive an email unless the Trigger the alarm and (is set to) Show as warning or Show as critical.
I would think that if I select keep the targets current state that it would send the email without setting an alarm, but I have been unsuccessful in getting it to send an without the alarm level being set to warning or critical.
Is this a bug? Or is it working as intended?
