SSL Certificate not verified

while accessing vcenter 5.1 or ESXi host via browser, ssl certificate always show error and an option to allow user to ignore this and continue. do let me know from where this will be resolved.

Hi Faamin,

This is a expected behavior, if you don't want that, then you will have to create your own CA signed certificate and add them to vCenter. And doing that could be little creepy!

what will be the risk if we left ssl expired or as it is. I have been told that we cannot move vm datastore until ssl verified, also Man in middle attack also be there

Leaving SSL expired can have security issues. But not sure about anything like cannot move the VM among the datastores.

AFAIK SSL expiration doesn't affect any vCenter features, that include VM operations and moving VM across data stores.
