Replacing the SSL certificate in vCenter Server Heartbeat with a new certificate

Realized the change of SSL certificates on my vsphere environment vCenter Server 5.5, however now I'm looking to deploy the service vmware vCenter Server HeartBeat, however I am having the following doubts.

1 - It is necessary to carry out the exchange of SSL certificate currently used in my environment. (http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=201304...)

The KB article talks about changing the certificate of an deployed vCenter Server Heartbeat... if vCSHB are not deployed yet, you don't need to worry... just go ahead with installation and the new vCenter server certificate will be recognized by vCSHB.

Richardson,

So it's not necessáio change the certificate generated for the HeartBeat at installation time?

More if you wanted to change have to change the SSL cetificados all my vmware environment?

Hi,

first, install your vCenter stuff with all the certs you wan´t to install,

then,

install heartbeat.

After that,

change the heartbeat certs like it is described in the article.

But be aware, VMware is end of life. See
