Remove a dead datacenter fronvSphere 4.1

Last Saturday our company closed an office and moved to VMs to anothar datacenter. Another office had added the closed datacenter as a datacenter in their vCenter 4.1 server. Remove is greyed out. Any ideas on how to remove it?

My account is in the Administrator role in both datacenters. Access is controlled by AD Groups with a very few individual users. As the datacenter was to be retired, my account was added directly to the Administrators role. However, I think that the problem is that there is a DNS issue and the vCenter server is trying to resolve names fron a nameserver that is not ronning. I am having the network guys take a look at it.
