Recover the vcenter server to the high version after the vcenter server is crashed

Dear All,

 After the backup vcenter server 6.7U3 Q,   using the file-based backup, in the VAMI of the vcenter.

 Can I restore the vCenter server to the 6.7U3S  version?

Its not recommended to restore to higher versions as the database/schema and other configurations of the backup taken may not work properly.
