Hi friends is there any option to get Read write latency of a VM on data store for a time span of last 5 days. I already tried below mentioned options in attached files but time span is grade out. We are not using any third party tools.
Vsphere client version -- 5.1.0
VMware Vcenter version -- 5.1.0
It is a requirement from my storage admin he is getting Read/Write latencies alerts from VMs (vmdk) . He need a report of datastore Read/Write latencies on this VMs for last 5 days.
I am including a sample alert with this mail.
Target: Testvmqa06
Previous Status: Yellow
New Status: Red
Alarm Definition:
([Yellow Metric Is above 25Millisecond; Red Metric Is above 50Millisecond])
Current values for metric/state:
Metric Disk Highest latency = 61Millisecond
Description:
Alarm 'Read Write Ltency on VMDK' on Testvmqa06 changed from Yellow to Red
I tried this KB also but I need report for VMs not Datastore
Look like your missing the day/week/month/year stats so would be worth looking at this KB http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=205016...
But even if you had the past week stats you might find by default that read/write latency would not be available only highest latency, you would have to change the statistics level for it to keep that level of metrics for that amount of time
Hi NuggetGTR Thanks for your response I dont think day/week/month/year stats are missing I can see it on all other options like CPU, Disk, Memory etc it is only specific to Datastore. Pls check attached screen shot.
