RDM Remove -- Delete Files from Datastore

Hi All,

I am a beginner and learner of VMware. In my lab installed vCenter 6.5 with 4 hosts and few vm's. From one of the vm about to remove the RDM, while removing do we need to select "Delete Files from Datastore", if we selected what will happen.

Incase we selected "Delete Files from Datastore" will it be Erase the files in RDM.

Please suggest the right process in my case.

Nope, it will only delete the RDM pointer files. The data would still be intact on the LUN in the backend storage.
