Hi,
- Is IP Pools need same network as vCenter server ?? Or either connectable network is ok ??
- In my environment, there are around 150 VM in 2 cluster. What's the disk size I should assign for VMOM ??
Thanks
The IP Pool don't need to be on the same network of your vCenter server but you will need open some ports between your vCOPs and vCenter Server... and about disk requirements, check the quote below from vCOPs 5.8.2 release notes:
Balanced Profile
- Maximum number of objects: 12K, 2.2 million metrics
- Memory
- Analytics VM: 21GB
- UI VM: 26GB
- vCPU
- Analytics VM: 8 vCPU
- UI VM: 8 vCPU
Full Profile
- Maximum number of objects: 12K, 5 million metrics
- Memory
- Analytics VM: 63GB
- UI VM: 26GB
- vCPU
- Analytics VM: 24 vCPU
- UI VM: 16 vCPU

Sorry, I posted Memory and CPU requirements, not disk space... but searching on the internet I cannot find this information for the newest version, only for the version 5.

Found it: vCenter Operations Manager Sizing Guidelines (2057607)
Hi Richardson,
Fist of all, thanks for your reply. But I have some questions after read the document.
- In my environment, we have around 150 VMs. Should we use "Small" template ??
- Disk storage for "Small" is 900GB, but we don't have 900GB for it. How many disk size need to 150 VMs ??
- In the future, if we wnat to change from "Small" to may be "Large". Is it available and how ??
- For CPU and memory, I can modify it or template control it ?? Since I don't know current VM cluster hardware can affrot vCOPs or not.
Thanks

Hi All,
I have deleted the vCOPS 3 times and redeployed it.But still facing the same error, when trying to open the vCenter Operation manager.
" VMware vCenter Operations Manager - 5.8.0 Build 1448123 has encountered one or more unrecoverable errors during the initialization of the application. This deployment cannot be recovered and must be discarded. The following messages indicate the possible causes of error. If resolutions are suggested, apply them and redeploy the ovf from VMware vSphere Client that is connected to VMware vCenter and not to a VMware ESX/ESXi host directly.
