Query regarding Alerts on vCenter and Virtual Machine level.

Hi Experts,

I want to receive email alerts related to number of snapshots in my Virtual Machine.

I know that I can specify Snapshot size (in GB) and receive email alerts if the size of snapshot increases than the specified limit.

But my requirement is that I want to be notified with alerts regarding number of snapshots in my VM because I don't want to open Snapshot Manager for each Virtual machine in vCenter inventory and identify how many snapshots are present inside it.

If there is a solution for my requirement, I would appreciate all your help.

Thanks

Hi,

there is no direct vCenter Alarm to do so. But you could use a Powershell Script instead.

Check the following. Maybe it could help you in resolving your Problem.
