I am planning a new vSphere deployment and wanted to get some advice on the best way to protect against vvCenter failure. My infrastructure is as follows
2 Physical Datacenters (U.K and U.S)
One AD domain with different sites (all DC's are VM's)
10-15 hosts in each site initially
Dual 100MB MPLS links between sites
I'm looking for the best option to mitigate against different DR scenarios
Site failure
vCenter failure
failure of ESXI host Host that vCenter is on
I am looking to deploy Windows based vCenter with the SQL database on a separate VM. Has anyone done a similar deployment or any experience of a site failure
