Patching Vmware Vcenter Server with the latest patch

I am currently working on patching my vcenter server 5.5 from version 3252642 to 6516310. I came across the vmware article where it says that I have to update this in sequence as follows SSO --> Vcenter Client --> Inventory Service --> Vcenter Server --> Java Components --> tc Server ,etc. I already have Vcenter SS0 and Vcenter Inventory Service up to date. Can I start upgrading Vcenter Server directly?

The Sequence is as follows

1.SSO

2.Webclient

3.Inventory service

4. vCenter servers

Java and tc are part of vCenter and they will be installed/updated automatically. If you have updated SSO ,webclient and Inventory, proceed with vCenter server there wont be any issues.

You really should be looking at upgrading to 6.5 as 5.5 is now out of support.
