No option to create a datacenter in vCenter 6.7

Good evening,

We recently purchased VMware vSphere and vCenter Standard. I have successfully created two VMware hosts (soon to be four) and I have four VMs and a vCenter appliance running on them. BUT, now I've hit a roadblock - I'm unable to configure vCenter. When I try to create a datacenter the only options under Actions are Reboot, Shutdown, and Create Support Bundle. As I understand VMware Licensing I have 60 days to enter a license. Googling this gets me nowhere and I can't find a similar case here. Did I miss something at the start of this process? I'm not a VMware expert but I do have some experience with VMware 6.0. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe B

Attached screen shows you are inside the VAMI environment, connecting to the https://VCSA:5480

This web interface is dedicated to the vCenter server management and troubleshooting itself, so you should login to the https://vcsa:443 and then try login to the HTML5-based vSphere web client.

Good evening Ashilkrishnan,

Here's a screenshot that shows that there are no create options in my vCenter.

Thanks,

Ok, I was just watching another training video and I believe I missed a section of setting up my vCenter. I think it's time I headed over to Plurasight for some more training.

Thanks,

@jobee1 ,

It seemed like vCenter deployment was missing based on the description.

Thank you for sharing the update.

Thanks NathanosBlightc. I logged in last night with that address/port only to find I had used the free ESXi 6.7 software on my test hosts. My vCenter won't allow them in because they don't have the required modules. Like vMotion. I will work on that later today.

Thanks,

Joe B
